Discover how to heal complex trauma with Trauma Informed Hypnotherapy

Join Courtney Armstrong for this 3-day experiential workshop, where you'll learn how to use more Trauma Informed Hypnotherapy techniques to heal the negative effects of complex trauma.

Complex trauma is more challenging for clients to overcome because it involves repetitive experiences of neglect, abuse, or betrayal by caregivers, family, or friends. Repetitive traumatic experiences impact the brain's ability to regulate itself so that clients who've experienced complex trauma may find themselves struggling from erratic mood swings, relationship problems, or dissociative episodes that they just can't "reason" their way out of. That's because these issues are not generated by the "reasoning" brain, but by the emotional brain where our emotional memories, attachment schemas, and habits are stored.

With Trauma Informed Hypnotherapy you'll learn gentle, but powerful techniques that reach the emotional brain so you can more effectively help clients calm their nervous systems, heal attachment patterns, and reclaim a positive, empowered identity.

You may even get your own breakthrough in this high-powered workshop worth 25 CE's that is filled with experiential activities and practice sessions that engender hope, healing, and self-confidence in a warm atmosphere with supportive coaching.

FAQ

Got a burning question? It may be answered already below!

  • Do I need prior training in hypnosis to attend this training? Yes, completion of Trauma Informed Hypnotherapy Level 1 is REQUIRED before taking this course. Even if you’ve been trained in hypnosis by another organization, the TIH model is unique and is based on a clinical protocol and set of skills that are taught in Level 1. We’ve tried waiving the Level 1 requirement in the past, but even seasoned hypnotherapists reported they felt behind in Level 2 if they had not attended Level 1 first.
  • Will I be elgible for certification in hypnosis after this workshop? Yes, once you've completed both the Level 1 and Level 2 Trauma Informed Hypnotherapy courses, you'll be eligible for certification. The National Board for Certified Clinical Hypnotherapists (NBCCH) requires at least 50 hours of live hypnosis training with supervised practice and coaching for certification from their board. Check the NBCCH site at www.natboard.com for more info on certification.
  • Will I be able to use hypnosis with my clients after this workshop if I'm not certified yet? Check to see what your state requires. The Hypnotherapists's Union's website at www.hypnotherapistsunion.org/statelaws lists the states with hypnosis regulations, but you are still responsible for checking with your state to be sure you are practicing within the scope of your license.
  • Do the 25 hours count towards continuing education for my license?  Check the CE information at the bottom of this page or visit https://www.commonwealthseminars.com/seminar-ce-credit.html to make sure your state and license are covered. Commowealth Educational Seminars is approved to sponsor continuing education workshops in most states for psychologists, social workers. If your state is not listed, you'll need to call your licensure board to see if they will approve the workshop before you register.
